history» Though typical means, Wes was brought into the world, to a sixteen-year-old angel who had no clue what she was getting herself into. Life was simple in his early years, nestled in a small colonial cottage on the North Shore of Sydney. However, as soon as Wes had grown into communication, he soon found his simplistic lifestyle deteriorating before his eyes. His incessant queries of his other half, of his father, were futile. His mother didn't want to talk about it. That was, until Nan and Pop came to visit. Even though he couldn't have been much older than five or six, Wes understood much more than humanly possible; but then again, he didn't have to worry about that, being inhuman and all. He'd never seen someone so angry, his Pop had thrown his arms around, raving, tossing phrases back and forth, such as 'unnatural filth', 'disappointed in you, Eve' and 'throw it into a volcano'. Though clearly tainted, Wes had never been so ashamed himself than in the following years, when Pop's tantrum visits were frequent and in-between. Finally, aged seven, his mother decided to start drumming in the truth. Half-breed was a frequent term, as well as love child; however, it was when his mother started crying that Wes really paid close attention, desperately attempting to understand what she was telling him. He was accelerated, nearing child prodigy status; but when it came to his personal background, Wes was a simple as he was expected to be. His father had left, disappeared; and that was that. No name. He was only told the same facts over and over. Personally, Wes couldn't see the problem being of two parts, in fact, he thought it was fascinating; getting two perks instead of one. However, the beings around him didn't seem as ecstatic as he'd assumed. Despite his lack of comprehension, he was forever to be known as Filth.

Aged eight, Wes was tormented by an older boy. Matthias. This of course, occurred beyond his mother's line of sight. Though Wes doubted even if the beatings had happened right before her, she would have noticed. She was far too smitten by the angelic boyfriend, Abel Grayson. Abel's only son, Matthias, was lugged after him, and therefore, fell onto Wes' radar. Boys will be boys in most respects, but undoubtedly, boys won't lock their younger siblings out of the house in the wee hours of the morning in their underwear. Yes, Evangeline married Abel, much to her happiness, and her parents' relief. She took his name, and forced it upon Wesley as well. Fortunately, for Wes, they remained on the North Shore, upgrading from a small cottage to a colossal house, on the water, in Clontarf. Though many kids would've loved this, as Matthias did, Wes was dismayed by it. He hated the extravagant interiors, and modern art-slash-architecture of the exterior; he hated the angelic butler that eyed him like a bag of flaming dog faeces, and he hated the magazine cleanliness of every room.

The first time that Wes ever teleported, he flinched away from his personal bully, Matthias, and ended up several kilometres away, in an empty bus shelter. The impact of course, destroyed the brick structure, and terrified Wesley beyond belief. The development of his powers proved to be a miracle for Wes, it brought him out of the misery he'd been living in that Clontarf home for the past four years. Aged twelve, he wasn't able to travel anywhere unattended, and so his mother decided to pitch in. The North Shore was coated with sparse bushland, and so, Evangeline would trek out into an isolated area with Wes, and with a paint ball gun, train him. These trainings went on far into his early teen years, ending abruptly when he turned thirteen. He had far exceeded his parents' expectations; at least, that was what Abel wanted to have him believe. If truth be told, Wes knew exactly why. His mother could no longer speak to him, no longer look at him the way she used to. Wes first showed signs of psionic skills a little after his thirteenth birthday, around the time he'd settled into puberty. It'd been a horrid accident, but after a kid at school had been teasing him, with the whole 'fake a punch, mock the flinch' business. Exasperated, and a little nervous, Wes had pulled away, his mind reaching out and striking the kid's, who had ended up in a vegetative state. With the school yard frightened of him, Abel had had no other choice but to pull him out of school. The young boy was terrified when his mother pulled away, forcing his step-father to inform him of her reasoning. Wes' father, demonic as he was, had been psionic. He'd been awfully corrupt, and used his gifts to harm others willingly; and after the first few months of mental blasts, he'd been able to form weapons out of psionic energy, to harm others mentally. Wes of course, was horrified, and wanted nothing to do with the ability. Undoubtedly, he hadn't a say in it, and as if proving a point, three months later, Matthias collapsed after Wes had involuntarily materialised a dagger, thrown at him. There was no flesh wound, and his mother began her crying fits.

Wes, aged fourteen, got his first girlfriend. She was small, quirky, and didn't seem to mind that he was withdrawn. He felt obliged to tell her about himself, but self-control prevented him from repelling her. Her name was Jade. For five months, Wes flew through his rebellious stage; sneaking out at night to see her, nicking a few dollars here and there to afford movie trips and the like. However, on a crisp February evening, at a cliff-side party, Jade fell. At least, that was what the police report had said. What had really occurred was that some pompous jerk had started hitting on her, and he and Wes had gotten into a fight. For the first time in his life, Wes wanted to control his psionics, however, fate didn't have it in the cards. Thrusting his hand forward, in hope that the guy would somehow collapse, he emitted a shield of energy. The guy ducked, reflexively, however, Jade was behind him, standing beside the cliff-edge. No one seemed to notice it hit her, but she fell, and died instantaneously, as she hit the rocks.

Affected by that alone, Wes left home. He wandered around the world, teleporting to and fro, unpursued by his family. Eventually, aged sixteen, he built a stable wall around that area of his mind, and returned, only to be sent packing once more. However, this time, his destination was already determined. Roseate Spires. A school for kids like him.

personality»

stimulating , extrovert , curious .
Wes isn't the sort of person who'll sit by and nod helplessly like a little drone; he'll speak his mind, defend his opinion, and quite frankly, share his character judgements. He'll openly question something, and make it clear that he's intriuged, even if it makes a complete and utter idiot out of him. He'll meet any challange head on, and because of this risk-taking excitement, he's grown a strong shell of determination as well. He's done everything hair-brained and reckless, mostly because he was curious. His curiosity has gotten him into a bit of trouble, and even that attracts comrades, seeing as Wes has always been quite a magnet for trouble and adventure.

well-humoured , amusing , distinctive .
Never one to be all that popular amongst his peers, Wes had been known to not have to do much to make someone laugh, or even to simply amuse himself. He enjoys every aspect of what he does to the fullest, and his most far-fetched of antics are known to bring a small smile out of even the hardest personalities. On occassion, and in a particular mood, he'll be the one to laugh in a completely inappropriate situation, because he noticed something completely out of the blue, or someone scratching their nose reminded him of an amusing occurance three months ago. However, then again, Wes knows when to stop his humour; and in that, he can be unpredicatable. If he's in a bad mood, he won't smile, he won't laugh, and he'll consider most amusing concepts imbecilic.

bad-tempered , indifferent , callous .
Though larger regions of his personality state otherwise, Wes can be a cold person. If he takes a disliking to you, he can be one of the most unkind individuals you will ever meet. His indifference can be chilling, can be insulting and heartbreaking; and if you're a victim of this, you have to be pained in the fact that you're suffering, and he honestly does not care. Wes can have a temper, especially when he's pushed far over the edge. One can usually see this attitude coming from afar, since he does have characteristic warnings. Things such as low voice tones, inability to concentrate and spontaneous rants about infinitesimal matters are the most common. Once in this mood, Wes can be a rather unpleasant one of company, and his humour takes a rude, sarcastic turn.

headstrong , competitive , manipulative.
Some of Wes' most secure friendships have teetered precariously when it has come to his competitive nature. He adores winning, he loves it; and on ocassion, if he's lost something he particularly wanted, he doesn't know when to stop. It's driven him to excel, of course, but then again, it can bring out a rather ugly side of him as well. That said, he is aware of any attention given to him, and so, he's been known to, in the past, successfully coerce others into doing as he wishes; and as that hasn't worked, he's attempted, and succeeded into backwards logic.

inexperienced , girl-shy .
There is a rather adorable, shy side to Wes, which is known to surface around the opposite gender. Whenever any praise is put his way from a girl, he's been known to blush, hide his face with his curls, offer a small smile and a mumble of thanks. He never had a sister, only a brother; and he was pulled out of school before any of that multi-gender interaction began. His inexperience with any young woman could be concluded from that. He feels as though he's sailing in uncharted waters when it comes to women of his own age, of his own time. They want him to be polite and pay the bill, they want him to be a tough guy and let them spend their own share so they acquire independence. It all sends his mind rearing, and he feels completely out of place. That is, when he knows they're expecting him to be what they want. Yet, he can be slick, without even meaning it, or noticing it for that matter. Wes can make a girl laugh, he can show her a good time, but as soon as it comes to dating her, or anything more than just talking and laughing, he's about as clued in as a toddler in an OR.

terrified of love , afraid of committment .
It sounds rather foolish, but it's the honest truth. Wes is utterly terrified of the thought of falling in love, of being so sure that you'd feel the same way about someone forever. He thinks it won't happen to him and that he doesn't want to make a mistake. That's probably why he's afraid of committment. He almost has a stage with a girl before he hits a wall, like an athlete, and he has a chance to keep going, or simply follow that feeling of running away. Most of the time, he flees. There's a place in the back of Wes' mind that wants to find someone who'll make him stay, make him fight for love; though he hasn't come across that area as of yet.

logical , witty .
Wes, despite his troubles with the schooling system back home, is in fact, an intelligent young man, or half-breed. He's been known to get into deep intellectual debates with people, even if it is over something stupid and trivial. For the most part, he likes to quote from certain places, from books and movies that have graced his attention to prove his point further; and at times, he's confused others over whether he was a genuine text-book nerd or not. His mind churns in brilliant ways, though his attitude can at times, dampen his uses of it for academic reasons.

strongest personality trait» confidence
magick abilities»
teleportation: transport himself from one place to another, without occupying the space in-between. Lately, he's been working on bringing other objects with him, including people. He's been sucessful, he's just had to work on distance with another load.
psionics: with his own, he's able to overload another's mind causing pain, memory loss, loss of consciousness, vegetative state or death after having created a psionic link into that person's mind. In a more offensive state, he's been able to create multiple weapons of psychic energy that can harm mentally and not physically.
forcefields: ability to project powerful fields of manipulated energy; although Wes hasn't had much luck with these, he's getting a little better. At the moment, they're more like a reflex, like putting up your hands to shield yourself.
physical mimicry: he can mimic the powers and skills of others, the copies can be of non-supernatural things, such as intelligence and athletic ability. However, despite the practice he forces on himself, Wes can only perform this upon physically touching the subject. But, once having done this, he can call upon that power at will, though he has no control over it, period.

"Well, i'm glad you're having fun"

It may have come late, as apposed to his statement, which had easily been ten minutes before. However, this conversation was smouldering on the inside of him, etching every utter into the confines of his mind; each minute only seemed like a moment or two. He resisted the urge to murmur 'So am I' in response, knowing only that that response would bring awkwardness to their thin situation. He found it very light, and breezed through it was enthusiasm, but he could only start to imagine what she would think, what she would draw from his reactions. He regretted his silence, as until his next point of speaking, their silence drifted. For what seemed like minutes to him must have been eons for Ale; he gave an inward groan. Oh...face palm.

"oh.. my... gosh!" To be completely and utterly honest, he gasp made Mitch's insides jolt anxiously. He'd thought she had some attack before his brain translated the English into information. He paused in his step, a fault that he doubted she would have noticed. "you like... soccer?"

Mitch's reflex got the better of his senses, and he found himself shrugging idly. "Of course. I love soccer." He gave a wonky grin, honesty shining through his face like sunlight. "I'm sort of not exactly good at anything else." I can't even be a proper werewolf. Mitch stopped in his tracks, hands flying up in shock. "Wait...hang on," he hesitated, not being able to mould his mind around this blissful blessing. "You like soccer?" It wasn't that he was sexist or anything. Mitch loved the idea of girls playing the game, in fact, he knew some that could beat his mates five times over, even him on occassion. It was just that it would be too much of a miracle that his imprintee would be into soccer. He resisted the urge to drop to his knees, praying his gratefulness to God. "i've practically spent all my time in spain stuck in the santiago bernabeu" Mitch knew a lot of people who would probably stare back at Ale with a look of deep confusion on their faces. However, his mouth fell open, just hanging there. He held up a hand jokingly. "Ugh. Too envious to speak." The Santiago Bernabeu had always been a place high up on the list of stadiums that he desperately wanted to catch a game in before he died. He lowered his hand, trying not to laugh out loud. "Who's your team?" He paused, adding quickly. "And if you say Real Madrid, I will have to erect a statue in your honour; not to mention that I will love you forever." It was only a joke, but Mitch couldn't help but correct himself in his mind. You'd love her even if she hated the team. In fact, you'd probably switch support. Her mutter made Mitch smile a little to himself. She had probably expected him to blurt out 'L.A Galaxy all the way!', not refer to the Spanish league so easily. Personally, he thought the American game was a little slow compared to the other, much bigger leagues.

All of his thoughts screeched to a halting stop as a bright smile lit up her face. It was like trains derailing, he had to rearrange his bearings before he'd fall over. His heart went a flutter as she bit her lower lip. It was a quirky thing with him, he loved how girls looked when they bit their lip in thought. He nodded respectfully at the Spanish band and solo singer that graced her words, trying to repeat it over in his head slowly--without much success. But Usher, yeah, Usher he knew. "it'd be easier to choose if there wasn't so much to choose from" Mitch smiled, nodding knowingly. He couldn't trust his tongue at that moment, her smiles sending him up the loopy path as though he'd been smoking marijuana or something. He'd seen some of the other guys at La Push in their little high worlds, and quite frankly, he didn't see what was so appealing about it. "um... as for my book. i'd probably bet on city of stars. i usually go for the whole 1800's type and stuff. He'd never heard of the book before, but as she explained further, he found himself smiling. She was much more intelligent beneath the surface, and he was grateful that he'd stuck around long enough to stratch some of that away. He momentarily wondered how much of her she kept from people. "but i love the fantasy in this book. well, that and the horses. who wouldn't adore flying horses?" Flying horses. Mitch repeated it back to himself, cracking a grin. It had been childish, but he'd loved it. So he wouldn't look like a total six-year-old. He grinned, laughing a little. "Personally, I can't resist them. I haven't really got the imagination to attach wings to a horse, but it sounds great." Another face palm; that had been a stupid comment. What was with him today? Think Mitch, think! He glanced down at her as she answered the last. Pride and Prejudice. Mitch couldn't help but let slip, "Oh, I read that once." He smiled a little, adding to his humiliation. "My little sister dragged me along to see the movie with...Keira Knightley, was it?" Her comment about Mr Darcy would have been understandable by most females, however, Mitch couldn't see the appeal of such an insufferable character. Almost like Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights. Okay, so he had read the assigned books for English.

He shook his head, exhaling in disbelief. How could a girl be so freaking amazing? He'd never been so intruiged by what someone had had to say. Sure, he listened to everything in a conversation, and replied as competently as he could, but never once had Mitch made such a fool out of himself and been happy about it. "Amazing..." his lips let out the whisper, and he found his eyes trailing over to Ale. Alarmed, he glanced away quickly. He felt heat as a deep crimson flashed across his cheeks, not helping in his subtleness. Ugh, he was such a teenager. He was so...Mitch.
